Community patrol or the community policing is a popular term when it comes to Australia and Newzealand. It is a concept of sharing the responsibilities. The purpose to introduce this idea was to increase the confidence of the people in the law enforcement agencies so that they can easily resolve the matters. It becomes possible through the community patrols that the chances of the possible crime are minimized. Besides all these pros one most quoted adverse implication is that sometimes there is undue interference in the task of the police. The people start taking them too for granted. There is no doubt about the increased trust etc but if we see we will find that this trust sometimes goes just in the way as it is stated, care kills the cat.”
